About meeting rooms in Bristol, United Kingdom

Bristol is a city and county located in the UK’s South West and has a population of over 450,000, making it the 10th largest populated city in England. The local is famous for its variety of architectural styles and has over 50 Grade I and over 4,0000 Grade II listed buildings in a mix of styles, from medieval to modern.

Its modern economy is built on the creative media, electronics and aerospace industries, while the city central docks have been redeveloped as centres of heritage and culture. There are many international companies who have based their headquarters here, including Hewlett-Packard, who opened its national research laboratory back in 1983. A major sector that remains very active within Bristol is the Aerospace industry, with major companies including the likes of BAE System, a merger of Marconi Electronic Systems and Rolls-Royce.

Bristol is also home to the regional headquarters of BBC West and the BBC Natural History Unit, based at Broadcasting House, which produces television, radio and online content with a natural history or wildlife theme.

It is also well served by road, air and rail connecting to the rest of the country. There are two principal train stations, Bristol Temple Meads and Bristol Parkway, along with Bristol Airport. The M4 motorway connects the city to London and West Wales, while the M5 connects it to Birmingham and Exeter.
