The Best Meeting Rooms for Hire in Dubai

It never stops being amazing how Dubai has developed from a small city to a magnet for international business, tourism and sport in just a few decades. With more than 3 million living in the city at any given time, it needs the full range of business service properties.

It’s the sort of city where you’ll get a parts supplier from LA flying in to meet with a Singaporean engineering firm, or a Parisian inventor will pitch their idea to an entrepreneur from Sydney. That’s why there are dozens of quality meeting rooms in Dubai that you can hire by the hour.

Here are some of our favourites.

Standard Chartered Tower

The Standard Chartered Tower is a relatively modest affair by Dubai standards, with 18 floors right in the Downtown area. Built in 2013, it’s one of the most sustainable buildings in the city and also happens to be in one of the most desirable parts of the business district; as you might guess from the name, a major investment company.

It neighbours Dubai Mall, which will no doubt be a draw to some visitors, and is right next to a major junction, making it easy to reach. It comes with parking, an on-site restaurant, sandwich bar, cafe and vending machines, and there are also breakout areas and lounges to enjoy.

C1 Building, DWTC District Free Zone

C1, or One Central, is a low-rise business development just off Sheikh Zayed Road between the Convention Centre and the Emirates Towers. It’s a lively and exciting part of the city, where there’s always something going on, and there’s plenty of hospitality in the area.

Expect light-filled rooms thanks to the extensive glass all around , but inside there’s a modern, boutique feel to the public areas that are quite unusual around here. There’s plentiful underground parking, and the meeting rooms are comfortable and modern, with access to breakout spaces and outdoor terraces, just on the off-chance that it’s sunny.

8W building, DAFZ

DAFZ stands for Dubai Airport Free Zone, and it’s impossible to imagine being any closer to the airport without having to duck every few minutes. If you’re specifically looking for cheap meeting rooms in Dubai, this could be your place, which is astonishing given how well connected it is to, well, the whole world.

It’s modern and airy, with a range of pods, offices and meeting rooms to rent in Dubai’s beating heart. And yes, Dubai International Airport really is in the city, not like most around the globe that are several miles out. As soon as you step off the jet, you’re hooked up to all the city has to offer.

The Greens

This is a 26-storey building just inland from the Palm Jumeirah, in the Media Quarter of Dubai, home to the broadcasting, online and publishing sectors. It’s well connected, and there are hotels and restaurants all around to suit every budget.

The meeting rooms themselves are simple and fuss-free, designed for everyone to sit down and get talking, whether you’re making a presentation or interviewing a potential new employee. There are also breakout areas and a business lounge to take advantage of.

Sharjah, Expo Centre

The Sharjah Expo Centre is world-famous for hosting exhibitions, launches and all sorts of events, but did you know there are meeting rooms for rent in Dubai’s iconic landmark? Yes, there’s a large selection of meeting rooms in the complex, and they’re used by businesses and individuals to get together in this superb location  that’s right at the heart of the city’s modern infrastructure.

It’s also one of the best-appointed places too, where you can take advantage of the on-site restaurant, sandwich and coffee bar, as well as breakout areas and lounges. There’s ample parking and even an onsite gym with showers, so you might end up making a day of it. It's a memorable place, whether you’re combining your meeting with an exhibition or just rocking up to seal the deal.

Marina Gate

Jumeirah Living Marina Gate is a huge complex of hotels, apartments and business premises in probably the most relaxed part of town. Marinas in any city are always buzzing and lively 24/7, but nothing compares to this one. If you’re looking to impress a client with some extraordinary views and restaurants galore, this is your place.

Surprisingly, the meeting rooms here aren’t expensive by Dubai standards, so you can pick up an air-conditioned room for peanuts before hitting the marina for some celebratory entertainment. It’s effortless to get to by car, and there are breakout areas and a business lounge to use too.

Sports City

Dubai has carved out a reputation as a major sports venue, with cricket, golf, tennis, rugby and football played at the top level here, not to mention the Yas Marina motor racing circuit just down the road in Abu Dhabi. This is a homage to that - a residential, business and hospitality complex in the southern part of the city.

There are no fewer than four floors in the Bridge Tower devoted to Dubai meeting rooms, so you can take your pick from rooms of any size you like. It’s well connected to air and road travellers, and there’s outside terracing and breakout areas, just what you need when you need a time out.

Sharjah Mega Mall

Here in Dubai’s commercial and governmental district is the modestly named Sharjah Mega Mall – but as soon as you visit, you realise it deserves its epic title. The mall itself has all the retail, entertainment and dining experiences you could ever want, which guarantees a considerable footfall and a busy, bustling area.

The meeting rooms themselves are functional and straight to the point, but if that’s all you’re looking for, and want to pay a great price, here’s your place. There’s an onsite restaurant, sandwich bar and vending machines, but unless you’re really pressed for time, you’ll probably be urging your colleagues and clients to hit the mall for an extraordinary choice of cuisines.

Jumeirah Lake Towers South

It’s possible that this is what you had in mind when you thought of Dubai – a mega project consisting of soaring skyscrapers. Where other developers have gone for the tallest, however, this development has gone for the numbers – and we’re talking 87 towers surrounding a series of lakes here. They range in height from 35 to 45 floors, except the flagship Almas tower, which is 66 floors high.

They’re a mixture of residential, commercial and hotels. There in Cluster M1 (HDS Business Centre) on the 33rd floor, you can find a great, modern meeting room with truly impressive views of the city – high enough to see the world going on but low enough to appreciate the sheer scale of the urban peaks. There’s a restaurant and break-out areas, as well as a gym and parking. And yes, there’s an elevator.

BCW Jafza View 18 & 19

Finally, we bring you BCW Jafza View, a pair of towers on Sheikh Zayed Road overlooking the docklands and Palm Jebel Ali as it reaches out into the sea. This one isn’t in the centre of Dubai; rather, it’s on the coastal southwestern outskirts, although, come back in a few years and it probably will be the centre, such is the urban spread along the coast.

A non-central office has its advantages. The meeting rooms are quite large, and there’s room for plenty of amenities, like a restaurant, sandwich and coffee bar, outside terrace, gym and breakout areas.

Experience Dubai for your important meeting

Few people would have predicted Dubai, or the UAE in general, to become the place it has, it truly is a city like no other. It’s less East meets West and more a diverse mixture of people  from around the world, all here to do business, have some fun or make one a good excuse for doing the other.

If you’ve got an important client to impress here, rent one of the stunning meeting rooms, then whisk them away and entertain them in the lively culture of Dubai – and with some of the views on offer, you might impress them during the meeting too.
